Welcome to the Father C.C. Boyle Council Web Site
The Knights of Columbus is the world's largest Catholic fraternal service organization.  Founded by the Venerable Father Michael J McGivney in New Haven, Connecticut, in 1882, it was named in honor of the mariner Christopher Columbus. Originally serving as a mutual benefit society to low-income immigrant Catholics, it developed into a fraternal benefit society dedicated to providing charitable services, promoting Catholic education and actively defending Catholicism in various nations.

There are more than 1.85 million members in nearly 15,000 councils, with nearly 200 councils on college campuses. Membership is limited to practicing Catholic men aged 18 or older. Membership consists of four different degrees, each exemplifying a different principle of the Order.

Our Council of over 300 members, meets in  O'Connell Hall at Saint George Parish, located at 6707 W 175th street in Tinley Park, Illinois.  Our meetings are held on the first and third Thursdays of the month at 8:00 p.m.  The Grand Knight for Father C.C. Boyle Council 4698, for year 2020-2021 is Jim Newtoff.  He can be contacted at jjnewt@comcast.net.

We hope you enjoy your visit to our web site.  A library of information regarding our council and the Knights of Columbus in general is available by using the above links.  Please feel free to contact us with any questions.

Brothers, since 2012, our Council has delivered over 35,000 pounds of food to local food pantries. You are once again invited to make a sacrifice this lent. Buy extra items for each day of lent when you go to the grocery store. You can then bring your 40 food items to one of our regular council meetings on either February 18, March 4th, March 18th, or to St Stephen on the evening of March 31st, between the hours of 7:00 pm and 8:30 pm (the Wednesday day before Holy Thursday). We will deliver all food collected at the Council to the St. Damian Food Pantry.  They have specifically requested the following:

Blood Drive Results
On Friday January 15th we held a blood drive at St Stephens Parish Life Center. It was a great success to say the least. We collected 77 units total (65 whole blood and 6 double red cells) at the blood drive. Thank you Tim Sajewski for organizing the blood drive.  And thanks to all the Brother Knights who donated blood and to those Brother Knights who donated their time to help out.

We're There When You Need Us.
