Welcome to the Father C.C. Boyle Council 4698 Web Site

The Knights of Columbus is the world's largest Catholic fraternal service organization.  Founded by the Venerable Father Michael J McGivney in New Haven, Connecticut, in 1882, it was named in honor of the mariner Christopher Columbus. Originally serving as a mutual benefit society to low-income immigrant Catholics, it developed into a fraternal benefit society dedicated to providing charitable services, promoting Catholic education and actively defending Catholicism in various nations.

There are more than 1.85 million members in nearly 15,000 councils, with nearly 200 councils on college campuses. Membership is limited to practicing Catholic men aged 18 or older. Membership consists of four different degrees, each exemplifying a different principle of the Order.

Our Council of over 350 members, meets in O'Connell Hall at Saint George Parish, located at 6707 W 175th street in Tinley Park, Illinois.  Our meetings are held on the first and third Thursdays of the month at 7:30 p.m.

The Grand Knight for Father C.C. Boyle Council 4698, for year 2025-2026 is Lance Bertolli.

We hope you enjoy your visit to our web site.  A library of information regarding our council and the Knights of Columbus in general is available by using the above links.  Please feel free to contact us with any questions.

Holy Hour presentations of the Icon of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

PicturePainted by Pompeo Batoni 1767
We would like to invite everyone to attend one or more Holy Hour presentations of the Icon of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.  This event is a Pilgrimage of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Icon as a tribute to the 350th anniversary of the apparition of the Sacred Heart of Jesus to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque.

An icon depicting the most famous image of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, painted in 1767 by Pompeo Batoni and now venerated in the Church of the Gesù in Rome, will be displayed.

While the original Icon is displayed and venerated at the Church of the Gesu in Rome, services with

reproductive icons are being conducted worldwide with 300 icons traveling worldwide.

A Holy Hour will be conducted for one night at the following locations and times. There will be a prayer service held with readings from the Sacred Scriptures followed by time for individual prayer service and adoration.
We invite and prayerfully hope that you can spend an hour with our Lord at one of these services:

  • St. George Church Tuesday Feb 3rd 6:00 to 7:00 pm
  • St. Stephens Wednesday Feb. 4th 7:00 to 8:00 pm
  • St. Damian Church Tuesday Feb 24st 7:00 to 8:00 pm
  • St. Julie Billiart Thursday Feb. 26th 7:00 to 8:00 pm
  • St. Elizabet Seton Friday Feb. 27th 8:00 am to 8:00 pm
