Welcome to the Father C.C. Boyle Council Web Site
The Knights of Columbus is the world's largest Catholic fraternal service organization.  Founded by the Venerable Father Michael J McGivney in New Haven, Connecticut, in 1882, it was named in honor of the mariner Christopher Columbus. Originally serving as a mutual benefit society to low-income immigrant Catholics, it developed into a fraternal benefit society dedicated to providing charitable services, promoting Catholic education and actively defending Catholicism in various nations.

There are more than 1.85 million members in nearly 15,000 councils, with nearly 200 councils on college campuses. Membership is limited to practicing Catholic men aged 18 or older. Membership consists of four different degrees, each exemplifying a different principle of the Order.

Our Council of over 300 members, meets in  O'Connell Hall at Saint George Parish, located at 6707 W 175th street in Tinley Park, Illinois.  Our meetings are held on the first and third Thursdays of the month at 8:00 p.m.  The Grand Knight for Father C.C. Boyle Council 4698, for year 2018-2019 is Bill Krueger.  You can contact us by email at kruegerklan5@att.net

We hope you enjoy your visit to our web site.  A library of information regarding our council and the Knights of Columbus in general is available by using the above links.  Please feel free to contact us with any questions.

T
his year our Council will again be sponsoring the Keep Christ in Christmas Billboard Campaign.  The purpose is to remind people what Christmas is really about.  Two digital billboards will be displaying the seasonal message and one static billboard.

The first is visible at Northbound Interstate 294 and 115th Street in Palos Hills.  Our message will be displayed for 10 seconds within an 80 second loop.  This display runs 24 hours a day.  It is also visible from Northbound Ridgeland Avenue at the 115th Street traffic light.  Just look up at when your stopped at the red light and you'll see it.  Statistics reveal over 800,000 "impressions" at this location alone!

Our second is located at 159th and approximately the 9000 block East of Lagrange RD in Orland Hills.  It is located on the South side of 159th Street and visible to Westbound traffic.  The message will also be displayed at this location 28,000 times for 10 seconds.  Total impressions are over 320,000 for this location.

Lastly, our third location is at 171st Street and 94th Avenue in Tinley Park.  This is a static lighted billboard which will make over 320,000 impressions.  All billboards will be displayed for a 4 week period from December 3rd to December 30th, 2018.

This is the sixth year our Council has been sponsoring this campaign.  This has been funded by our Council,  surrounding Councils, and donations from generous members of the Knights.  If you are traveling about, and see one of our displays, let us know by completing the form below.  Or if you feel compelled  to make a donation, please complete the form.

Remember, Jesus is the reason for the Season!
